Tactical First Responder/Tactical Medicine is a hands-on classroom course taking your basic Stop the Bleed knowledge and expanding on it to give you a better understanding of more high risk or advanced situations. This course will prepare you to handle out-of-hospital care and/or hostile situations.

– Assessing scene safety
– Assess for bleeding
– Basic human vascular anatomy
– Difference between bleed types (vascular, arterial)
– Classes of bleeding
– How to properly treat a bleed in the extremities, joints, torso, and head.
– What to stock in an IFAK, how to use them & what to do if one is not available
– Casualty movement and evacuation techniques
– Tourniquet and chest seal application
– Proper MARCH Assessment
– Threat assessment considerations (Active shooter, MCI, Vehicle accidents etc…)
– TCCC concepts
– Scenario based training and live demonstrations of all techniques taught

Class will be taught by Will from Elite Medical Solutions. Will is an ACS certified Stop the Bleed Instructor, Nationally Registered Paramedic (NRP) and Certified Tactical Paramedic (TP-C) through the International Board of Specialty Certification (IBSC). Will has been an EMS instructor for the last 8 years and has over 10+ years of real-world experience working as a Firefighter/Paramedic, SWAT Paramedic and currently works as a High-Threat Protection Paramedic with a U.S. Government agency overseas.
